Review: Hadarah – Copernicus

This may be my favorite name for a perfume.

The rose comes through very strong in this, it’s primarily a rose perfume with some other notes to work with the rose.   Tonka Beans,  jasmine, vetiver all support the rose, and give it a lot of depth.  All the scents work really well together.

The more I smell it the more interesting it gets.  Although there is a lot of rose initially, it recedes a bit to open up all the other interesting notes.  I think a man or woman could both wear this, but I think it might work best for a woman.

It’s also a pretty unique smell, I can’t think of a lot of other stuff that smells like this, very smooth and organic smelling.  This line doesn’t use synthetics so you get a very natural smell with all of their stuff.  I don’t think this is something I would buy, but I’m sure it is going to be the perfect scent out there for many people.

Review: Hadarah – Adelard

This has a very sweet smell to it. It reminds me a little bit of candy or caramel.  There’s also a kind of medicine like component in the scent.

I think some men could pull this off but I definitely think it’s more for women. The sweetness would work better with a female’s skin chemistry I would imagine.

The scent doesn’t hold up terribly well, 5 hours in and its not as strong put still noticeable.

Review: Hadarah – Hazarfen

This is one of my favorite fragrances from this line, unfortunately it is also the most expensive. There is a 1000 bottle limited run for this fragrance so  if you decide to buy it you wont find many other people in the world that smell similar to you.

It is a very woody fragrance  with a lot of oud with some other wood notes backing up the oud. It has a smoky spicy element to it that is very nice. All of the fragrances from this line or supposed to be unisex but I really don’t see a woman being able to wear this. I feel like there is a very masculine tone to it.

The projection is pretty good but not excellent. I don’t think you’ll be able to walk in the room and people notice it but if they’re next to you they will definitely smell it.  It has very good staying power, you’ll be able to smell it for the whole day if you put it on in the morning.

I definitely feel this is for an older gentleman perhaps a businessman.  Not for  teenagers, it would be very out of place.  I think it would work for a date or business meeting. Not so much an outdoor fragrance, there’s nothing sporty about this and I don’t think people would be able to notice it outside.   As it starts to dry down it gets a much nicer cleaner smell to it.

If you have the money for it, I highly recommend it.  It smells expensive, it is expensive, and with the limited run you’ll smell unique, which is something that is generally very important to me.

Review: Hadarah – Offa

It has a powdery smell, light but with some complexity.  Wood notes come through strong, pink pepper, flowery, a bit of patchouli.

This fragrance changes a lot after you initially spray it.  This isn’t my favorite fragrance, but it’s not bad.  I would definitely wear it, but at the price per bottle I only want truly amazing scents.  Having said that, I think this could really work well with the right skin chemistry.  I think male and female could pull this off equally.

The project seems to start out very good, but after an hour so it becomes more subtle.
