Review: Creed – Asian Green Tea

When I first put it on the green tea really stood out, but an hour later the green tea faded a bit and gave way to more citrus. A fresh scent, with medium projection. There is a lot of floral listed in the ingredients but it’s very subtle which I like. Sometimes floral notes can overwhelm the whole thing but they did a good job not letting that happen here.

This would work well in an office, date, gym, indoor and out. It seems more of a summer fragrance but I am not a big believer in only wearing things during certain seasons. Although some instances that is true, most fragrances are pretty dynamic that way.

It is a bit subtle so if you are looking for huge projection this isn’t going to get you that, but if want something subtle, particularly if you are working in close quarters with other people who don’t want to work in a cloud of strong cologne this would be a great choice. It’s Creed so if you have deep pockets you may want to look into this, but if you really want to make your dollar count, I would look for something else.

Review: Diptyque – 34 Boulevard Saint Germain

Spicy, big scent, big projection. Has an old school aftershave vibe to it. Clove is a big component, wood. Very masculine. When I smelled it on paper at first it seemed a bit more subtle and smoother, but after wearing it, it become bold and masculine.

This would be good for a date, club, or bar. It might be a bit much for the office, but if you’re not working right next to others you could pull it off. Definitely great for outdoors.

This is something I would consider purchasing. I’m very fond of the spiciness, and it’s blended very well with everything. It has a very diverse list of ingredients.

Review: 1 Million – Prive

This has incredible projection at first but it dies down after an hour or so, but it still has good projection. It reminds me of candy, cinnamon, tonka bean, tobacco, patchouli are the main components. I don’t see it listed but I feel like there might be some vanilla in there.

This is good for dates, clubs, especially if you put it on right before you go out since the projection is so strong. It’s not a professional smell, so not very good as a signature fragrance. People over 50 would have trouble making this work for them. It’s definitely on the younger side but not too young. 20’s would be ideal, 30’s could still pull it off.

This is my favorite of the 1 million line that I’ve smelled so far.

Review: Prada – Carbon

This is a very unique cologne. If you have a big collection of colognes this is a good one to check out because it probably doesn’t smell a lot like other things you have. Ambroxan is the main smell, which is one of the ingredients in Savage. It has a kind of synthetic scent, but in the best way. It has hints of a smokiness and a soapiness.

I think you could use this in all sorts of situations, gym, date, office. The projection isn’t the best so clubs or outdoors isn’t a good time to wear this.

It is long lasting and maintains good projection throughout the day. I believe it would have a very wide appeal.
