Review: Cologne Indelebile

Neroli really dominates this scent, a bit of orange blossom and some citrus that is far in the background of the main floral note. I can’t say I’m in love with the neroli but I could see it working for some. I feel like someone older, above 60 could wear this scent. It has a very clean feel to it.

It’s very strong, people are going to know you’re wearing this. I would go pretty easy on this, even two sprays is a bit much. This is one of the longest lasting scents I can remember, I could still smell it on my hands the next morning, and if I hadn’t showered it may still be there when you read this. This would be a great scent if you are leaving in the morning and don’t have any time for the rest of the day to apply anything.

Review: Byredo – Eleventh Hour

This is a very powerful scent, the projection is amazing.

The smell has Sichuan Pepper, fig, wood (a bit more subtle) along with some citrus and some florals. Right after putting it on and pepper and the fig come on real strong. A little too strong perhaps.

I must say I am not into this pepper smell. I would imagine a large portion of the population would agree with me, but I’m sure some will like it, whoever created it at least. If you have a loved one be sure to get their consent before purchasing this.

After a couple of hours the strength has gone down considerably, but the heart of it is still there.

This is definitely something you’re gonna want to try on before you buy, but I will give it a big score for uniqueness.

Review: Gurlain – Heritage EDT

This has a very masculine smell, a kind of after shave smell to it, but with a bit of a powder in there as well. Fresh and smooth are adjectives that come to mind. The projection is pretty good. I don’t think this is a teenage scent, I definitely would imagine an older man wearing this. Even someone in their 20’s would have a hard time pulling this off.

It lasts pretty long, around 6-8 hours. Also the more I have worn this the more I like it. I think it would work well as a signature scent. As you become more familiar with it, you start to pick out more of the subtleties.

I had a hard time finding this in any stores around me, so I had to order it off the internet, which isn’t the best idea usually because you never know how your skin is going to react to it, but this is about a safe a blind buy as I can think of. It definitely deserves a place in your collection.

Review: Hermessence Ambre Narguile Hermes

This is more on the feminine side, very pleasant. It has a light smell but at the same time there is a lot of depth to it. I feel like a woman could wear this any time, in the office, date, pretty much any occasion. As a man I find it very attractive.

When I think of a girl wearing this, I am thinking of an artist, or a free spirit. Maybe someone in a yoga class. It has notes of spice, honey, cinnamon, vanilla, caramel. It’s not very long lasting unfortunately so it would be for just going out for a dinner or something short. If you keep it in your purse you may want to reapply it.
