Review: Hermes – Eau de Citron Noir

Right when you spray it on the citrus stands out. I feel like I’m getting a lot of lime specifically, backed up with orange. This is really a 100% citrus scent, there are a few other notes in there but very subtle an definitely in the background. It’s not very complex, but it is nice smelling. It’s smooth too, some citrus can be a little a little potent.

It lasts a pretty long time, at least a good 8 hours.

This might be good for the gym, it’s got a freshness to it, although the projection isn’t too strong. Probably best during the summer. I can’t think of a lot of occasions for this.

Review: Spicebomb – Night Vision

This has some tonka beans, albeit a synthetic version of it, but it’s also loaded with other spicy notes. The projection seems like it is going to be off the charts right when you put it on but it mellows down to about a medium level after a few minutes. It’s spicy but smooth. This scent is very long lasting, you will get many hours out of it.

It would be good at the gym, maybe on a date. I wouldn’t recommend it for everyday wear, it’s definitely got a “going out” type of smell to it.

This would be good for someone in their late teens up until about 30. I like this more than the other Spicebomb variants I’ve tried, as far as designer fragrances, I’ve enjoyed this one more than anything I have tried in a while now. I highly recommend checking it out.

Review: Versace – Eros Flame

Very strong projection. This has a distinctively masculine feel to it. There is a wide variety of notes blended into this, it’s pretty hard to pick out individual ones. Tonka bean, black pepper, citrus, wood are the most prominent. It has a strong synthetic smell to it. The projection goes down a good amount after a hour or two.

This would be best for a night club or bar. It’s not very sporty, and I think it might be a bit strong on an intimate date. Outdoor situations would be good for this as well.

If you’re under 30 this might be a good choice for you, but use it sparingly, and make sure your significant other is into it before making a purchase.

Review: Tiziana Terenzi – Gold Rose Oudh

The rose and the oudh really dome come together working as one. It smells expensive. This is a truly unisex scent, like a ying yang it has strong feminine and masculine elements. I enjoy the smell but I’m not sure I would wear it myself. It is more for someone in their late 50’s or 60’s and above.

It has good projection, good for a night out, a dinner or party. Definitely not for the gym and would be overwhelming for office wear.

Review: Hadarah – Zheng He

This has a very strong tobacco scent. I would say that is the main component, although it’s not listed anywhere I can find as an ingredient. I own tobacco extract so I’m pretty confident there is a lot of it in here. Oud and Jasmine are listed as other components.

This is very strong and potent, if you want to wear something very bold and unique this if for you. This is a very high quality line of scents and you will get what you pay for here.

This is a good date or a club scent, definitely not for everyday wear. Probably best for summer.
